Premium Leather Upper
The Salomon X Ultra 360 keep water at bay so you can walk with confidence no matter the weather. The durable upper offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. This leather is resilient enough to deal with any rocks and debris on the trail, all whilst looking stylish. To avoid damp feet, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A textile lining encases each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst a gusseted tongue sits comfortably against the skin and prevents debris from entering. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing these walking boots as they feature a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. A Quicklace system allows you to quickly and easily adjust the fit, whilst a lace pocket prevents any distractions whilst on the go. Finishing off the upper is the mudguard which is a protective material all around the base of the shoe to help reduce the build-up of mud.
EnergyCell Midsole
Within the midsole, the shoe features EnergyCell technology to offer excellent comfort and cushioning. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. In addition to this, between the outsole and the midsole, there is an Advanced Chassis. This targets articulations on the outer foot to optimize stability without limiting your mobility while also keeping the front of the shoe flexible for a more fluid ride. An OrthoLite sockliner is extremely soft and comfortable and works to wick away moisture keeping the feet cool and dry at all times.
All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole
Crafted with an All-Terrain Contagrip outsole, the X Ultra 360 Leather perfectly balances geometry with rubber to deliver confident movements on a wide range of surfaces. The Contagrip provides outstanding traction on wet, dry, hard, and loose surfaces giving you stability whilst on the trail. The full rubber outsole provides premium traction, ensuring a solid bond between you and the ground. The Contagrip outsole is built for the widest variety of surfaces; it ensures confidence whilst still offering long-term durability so you can go further for longer. As well as this, the outsole also features multi-directional lugs which dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs can anchor the foot into wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
