The Rab Vital Hooded Jacket offers excellent wind protection, thanks to its fast-drying and durable Atmos fabric that not only packs down exceptionally small but also offers reliable protection from the wind. This means you can take on those challenging conditions with confidence, especially since this jacket has also been treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, to help rain bead and roll off the jacket, however, if heading out into changeable or wet conditions it is advised to bring a hardshell jacket too as this windshell is not completely waterproof. This jacket is perfect for fast-paced activities thanks to its packable, lightweight construction, such as fast hikes, cycling, climbing and running. The Rab Vital Windshell Jacket features an elasticated hood with stiffened peak and rear volume adjustment, so you can draw the hood in closer when necessary, protecting your head and ears from the wind. A YKK front zip with an internal storm flap seals out the elements, whilst the snap closure also allows the jacket to be fastened without doing up the zip for advanced ventilation. Part-elasticated cuffs and a one sided hem drawcord work to seal out the wind for further protection and improved comfort. 2 YKK hand pockets provide a comfortable place to rest hands and keep them warm, or as easily accessible storage, perfect for fuels and gels. An integrated stuff sack keeps the jacket packed away neatly until you need it, whilst reflective details on the jacket ensure visibility in low light conditions, so you can stay safe and have greater freedom in your adventures. Cut for a regular fit, that doesn't have excess material flapping around but provides enough space for layering underneath, so you can be prepared for whatever the trail throws at you without annoying bulk.
