Lightweight Waterproof Upper
The upper of the Versacore Waterproof Shoe has been constructed from lightweight performance mesh for ultra-breathable comfort. It allows for an easy flow of fresh air in and out of the shoe to keep you cool and feeling fresh. Made with a contoured fit that follows the foot's contours for a more secure and comfortable fit, allowing you to wear these all day. Keen has reinforced the shoes with overlays across the toes and midfoot to provide the shoes and the wearer with protection against trail debris, whilst also adding structure to the shoe. The shoes have been treated with a coating that is based on natural probiotics that block the growth of odour-causing microbes; meaning that you will always feel and smell fresh. The innovative KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane prevents water ingress to keep feet dry in adverse weather conditions. Not only this but this also helps to reduce sweat and moisture build up which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane keeps your feet cool, dry and comfortable as it wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. A DWR (Durable Water Resistant) coating has been added to provide additional weather protection. Finishing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot down for a secure fit and reduced in-shoe movement.
EVA Midsole
Constructed using an EVA midsole, the Versacore provides comfortable cushioning that keeps you going all day long. The dual-density EVA provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. A removable dual-density EVA insole also features within the midsole to provide added cushioning and support. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. Completing the midsole is an EVA Strobel for added cushioning.
Keen.All Terrain Outsole
Providing ultimate, all-around protection, the Versacore features a Keen.all-terrain rubber outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the shoe will perform time and time again. This high-traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are 4mm multi-directional lugs which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction. The shoe is finished with an ESS bruise plate for protection on uneven surfaces.
