An all-in-one running shoe for any distance, the Velocity Nitro 2 is a lightweight and sleek update to the Run Puma roster. Featuring Nitro foam for exceptional responsiveness and ultimate cushioning, this upgrade is a well-fitting and durable shoe for a smooth ride. PUMAGRIP offers multi-surface traction, from treadmill to track. The upper is made with First Mile yarns that contain recycled post-consumer plastic.
Engineered Mesh Upper
Providing feet with an enhanced level of cushioning and enhancing comfort, the Velocity Nitro 2 have a plush engineered mesh upper. The materials ensure that your feet feel fresh and cool during your running endeavours, by allowing a constant supply of airflow to surround your feet. Strategically placed perforations feature throughout the shoes to provide you with a constant cooling sensation. Not only do these materials prevent overheating, but they also have excellent moisture-wicking properties to prevent sweat and moisture build-up. Increasing the structure and support, Puma has included Formstrip, which supports the foot and reduces in-shoe movement. The shoes have a traditional lace-up to keep feet secure and prevent in-shoe slipping. The Puma Formstrip and Nitro wording at the lateral sides add durability and style to this iconic shoe. Reflective details have been added to enhance your visibility during low-light conditions and lastly, the upper has been constructed with First Mile yarns that contain recycled post-consumer plastic.
Nitro Foam Midsole
The Velocity Nitro 2 utilise Puma's innovative Nitro foam technology, which is a lightweight nitrogen-infused foam providing you explosive energy return, and ensuring you have the cushion, comfort and versatility you need to conquer an array of running distances. This high-performing, lightweight compound keeps you comfortable underfoot, whilst simultaneously supplying you with maximum propulsion, for bouncy strides. The midsole also has shock-absorbing properties, to reduce the stress on your joints, helping to reduce the risks of injury when striking down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Alongside this, the Velocity Nitro 2 have a removable insole, providing additional levels of interchangeable cushioning. A TPU heel piece is also present, to enhance in-shoe stability and keep you supported on the road.
PUMAGRIP Outsole
Providing you with all-surface traction on your next running adventures, the Velocity Nitro 2 utilise a PUMAGRIP outsole. This construction combines superior traction alongside durability for superior stability on changing terrain. The outsole has strategically placed rubber which works to form a solid bond with the ground below, be that wet or dry roads or pavements, therefore providing you with a firm base to push from, encouraging a more efficient gait cycle.
