The Deuter Trail 22 allows for the optimal positioning of the backpack. This version of the Trail is designed especially for women, focusing on providing the highest levels of comfort and breathability without adding excessive weight. The SL (short-length) female-specific design of this pack allows it to fit the natural contours of the female back, therefore providing a better overall experience. The flexible, tensioned Delrin U-frame provides stability and a comfortable load distribution at minimum weight. Integrated compression and sternum straps allow for optimum volume alteration and help stabilise the pack on the shoulders for optimal support and weight distribution. Active Fit shoulder straps are anatomically shaped for increased comfort and reduced irritation, with a tough, highly breathable mesh lining that allows cool air to permeate to remove uncomfortable heat build-up. The shoulder straps have additional load adjustment straps to ensure even weight distribution by adapting the pack's centre of gravity, whilst hip fins and the stowable hip belt allow you to disperse the pack weight with ease. The Airstripe System allows cool air to circulate to help regulate temperature so you remain cool and ready for the trail ahead.
A multitude of pockets provides easy access to essential items. A zipped front opening to the main compartment provides direct access to well-buried items, even when the lid is closed. The flat lid allows you to move your head with ease even when wearing a helmet, keeping bulk out of the way for greater mobility. An internal valuables pocket keeps your most valuable items safe and secure. Additionally, a lid pocket with a key clip, one zippered side pocket, and one stretch side pocket provide a variety of storage solutions for all your hiking equipment. A wet compartment separates wet layers from clean clothes to keep essential dry layers fresh. Attachment loops provide space for an ice axe, hiking poles, and foldable poles, with additional loops on the shoulder straps to attach carabiners and loops for an added helmet holder that can be attached to the front of the pack. An SOS label provides essential tips in case of an emergency, and a key clip keeps your keys easily located. A detachable rain cover protects the backpack and your belongings from rain, whilst a PFC-free coating protects your belongings, allowing the backpack to shed light rain and repel dirt. The Deuter Trail 22 SL is compatible with a 3.0L hydration system. With a PFA-free DWR, ClimatePartner accreditation and recycled materials, it's an eco-conscious choice too.
