Leather Upper
Whether trekking on snowy trails or navigating slushy streets, these adidas Terrex Winter Hiking Boots keep your feet warm and dry. The boots utilise adidas' COLD.RDY and RAIN.RDY technologies, are created to protect you in cold, wet conditions, so you can explore winter landscapes comfortably. The two technologies combined create a durable and breathable material that retains heat in colder weather and does not allow air and moisture to pass through. adidas' waterproof technology, RAIN.RDY, prevents water molecules from penetrating the surface of the boot whilst allowing unwanted heat vapour to escape, keeping you dry from the inside and out. The upper has been constructed with durable cow leather that protects itself and your feet from knocks and scrapes when on the trail, providing you with a pair of boots built to last. A mid-cut design sits above the ankle providing support on uneven terrain. Specifically placed stitching has been used to increase the flexibility for a more natural feel when walking. Increasing protection adidas has also included a moulded toe cap, stopping toe injuries from rocks and other trail debris. To increase warmth, 200g of PrimaLoft Silver ECO insulation has been included. Made from 70% recycled fibre technology and combined with a water-repellent treatment and millions of air pockets, the insulation provides immediate warmth, even in wet conditions. Completing the boots is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and reduces in-shoe movement all while providing a personal feel.
Lightweight EVA Midsole
The midsole of the adidas Terrex Winter Boot has been created with an EVA foam unit making this extremely lightweight and despite being lightweight, it won't compromise any cushioning or comfort. The full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. The EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. Extremely firm, this will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound, for an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain.
Continental Rubber Outsole
The Continental Rubber compound offers maximum traction on various surfaces. This highly durable compound provides grip on wet and dry surfaces reducing the chance of slipping. Delivering optimal traction, the Continental outsole uses the ideal combination of specialised rubbers and design. A strong lug pattern works equally well on hard and smooth or soft and loose surfaces to ensure optimum, multi-surface grip.
