Matryx Micro Upper
The upper of the Spin Race has been created with an innovative material, Matryx Micro, which has three main advantages: extreme lightness, abrasion resistance even in the long term and high breathability due to the special structure of the yarn. The Spin Race Matryx Micro upper is made up of 48% recycled yarn and Dyneema for strong abrasion resistance and breathability. The weave design of the upper allows air to flow in and circulate, whilst simultaneously allowing built-up heat to escape keeping your feet cool and comfortable. Additional support and durability come from the 5D-printed PU EXO cage and toe bumper that help to provide both sensitivity and precision whilst an NBS lacing system allows you to adjust and lock your lace to the desired tension, keeping it constant over time.
Spring Foam Midsole
The midsole is made from a nitrogen-blown foam with an advanced structure that resides underfoot providing speed and performance. The progressive cushioning spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. With outstanding elastic return and rebound during your run, the Spring Foam midsole is highly durable and ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable no matter the distance. Meaning that you can feel the ground but not the impact, the Spring Foam absorbs shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound, adding a spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. Scarpa have included a 1mm PU rock plate for added underfoot protection.
