Microsuede Upper
Constructed using a microsuede upper, the Scarpa Veloce Climbing Shoes are worthy of any outdoor adventure. Designed to provide the right amount of flexibility and support, the upper conforms to the shape of the foot yet, retains its elasticity for a better, more supportive fit. The microsuede upper ensures the shoes hold their shape for long that other leather equivalents plus, its soft on the skin for complete comfort. A PAF tension system also exists within the upper to reduces pressure within the shoe. The innovative system is placed in the heel to help spread the force of the heel tensions which also helps with over-compression of the toe-box. The aggressive tension-rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon and connected with softer rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel. A DTS tension system also adapts perfectly to the dynamics of the foot in motion.The Differentiated Tension System concentrates power onto the big toe without interfering on the fit in other parts of the shoe. This helps keep the foot and toe in optimal position for power transfer and precision. The heel is bonded directly to the outsole meaning you get the same level of support and durability in the heel as you do in the outsole. Working with the heel is a toe rand which ensures added durability and protects your feet from knocks and scrapes. Lastly, the Veloce Climbing Shoes feature a Wave closure system to provide added midfoot support. The closure system spreads pressure across the upper allowing for greater volume adjustment.
S-72 Super Sticky Rubber
Developed to provide great friction even while pasting on volumes and smears, the outsole of the Scarpa Veloce Climbing Shoes has been constructed using a S-72 super sticky upper. This soft compound is adaptable to any surface and works to provide an excellent mechanical keying effect which is ideal for indoor use. The rigid nature of the outsole supports you during any climb by adapting to the ground below you and bearing your weight as you move from rock type to rock type. The superior rigidness of this shoe is counterbalanced by adaptability and sensitivity. As well as this, a M50 rubber compound has also been used on the outsole to provide adaptability. The outsole adapts to the natural curved of the foot and toes for complete comfort and grip. This morphing rubber compound gives a Shore A rating of 50, making it perfect for use in our SRT system, toe patches and strategic positioning around the shoe upper.
