3D Mesh and TPU Upper
The Scarpa Golden Gate Women's Trail Running Shoes has been built with a 3D mesh and TPU upper for extreme breathability and durability. Micro perforations in the mesh allows heat and vapour to escape, as well as any moisture built up from within the shoe. These pores transport it all to the outside of the shoe where it can dissipate, and dry quickly, keeping your feet feeling cool, dry and fresh. These perforations also work to allow cool, fresh air into the shoe, where it can then circulate. This airflow helps your feet to breathe and avoids uncomfortable, sweaty sensations. This fresh environment also discourages bacteria growth, so unpleasant smells become a thing of the past. The sock like fit of this upper grips the foot firmly but gently for a comfortable feel that puts you totally in control. A traditional lacing system provides further security, anchoring the running shoe to your foot for confident strides. TPU film in high traffic areas such as the toe cap and along the lacing system provides protection against abrasion for long lasting wear that won't let you down.
EVA Midsole and i-Respond Propulsion System
An EVA midsole provides shock absorption, protecting joints and muscles from strain and stress, and that damage they can cause. By cushioning against this shock, the risk of injury is reduced so you can go further than before in complete comfort. EVA also works to provide springy rebounds, compressing under each step and springing back into shape, utilising the energy from your last step to power you into your next one. Atop of the midsole is the i-Respond Insole, which features a system which enhances the thrust phase, amplifying energy input with greater energy return, mirroring the EVA for even more bounce and power in every step.
PRESA TRN-02 Sole
The RESA TRN-02 Sole is made using a durable, high-performance rubber with variable 4mm lugs that work to grip the ground in multiple directions for ultimate grip on uneven, variable surfaces in both wet and dry conditions. This means you get great traction even off road, so you don't have to limit yourself to the road or the trail.
