GORE-TEX Upper
Designed to provide lightweight comfort and protection, the upper of the Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite GORE-TEX Walking Boots have been constructed using a TPU-coated fabric upper. The TPU fabrication provides increased durability so you can continue with complete confidence. As well as this, suede leather inserts keep the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimise the risks of wear and tear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. The shoe uses Salewa's 3F System to further improve the fit. This system will improve the flexibility of the upper, which also provides support and a blister-free fit, which will dramatically improve the experience of wearing the shoes, removing irritations and distractions that come with an uncomfortable fit. Specially designed climbing laces run all the way from the toes to the ankle and are able to secure a tight fit when ascending, whilst can be loosened for improved comfort when descending. The heel stabiliser provides a secure and supportive fit whilst the rubber toe cap protects the feet from knocks and bangs. Completing the upper is the flexible ankle cuff that sits comfortably against the skin for all-day wear.
EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain.
Pomoca outsole
Designed to provide traction and grip on uneven terrain, the Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite GORE-TEX Walking Boots have been constructed using a Pomoca outsole. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. This will mean that the definition and functionality of the outsole will remain strong over a long period of time. Completing the outsole is an S-path design that promotes natural roll-off and more efficient heel-to-toe transition.
