Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale
For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.
The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.
Inov8 have graded the Roadclaw 275 V2 Women's Running Shoes as Grade 5.
Breathable Knit Upper
Providing a natural, comfortable and ergonomic fit, the Roadclaw 275 Knit features a soft, breathable knit upper. The upper not only supplies feet with a constant supply of cool, fresh air, but it also allows your feet to rest naturally and comfortably within the shoes. To prevent overheating the comfort knit materials supply feet with a fresh supply of air, keeping you feeling fresh and cool during the more intense periods of your run. Additionally, they are super flexible, so allow comfortable and flexible movement, without feeling too restricted when wearing. Moisture-wicking properties minimise sweat and moisture build-up, keeping feet dry during intense activity. Anti-odorous properties in the construction of the fabric prevent unwanted odours from growing in the shoes, keeping feet smelling and feeling fresher for longer. A soft collar and tongue sit comfortably against your foot, for comfort during running, preventing irritation and chafing when moving in the shoes. Finally, a lace-up system works with the ADAPTERFIT system to provide you with a locked-in, secure fit. The ADAPTERFIT forms a supportive cradle between the heel and arch, pulling in using the laces, to provide a locked-in feel and excellent stability over rough terrain, this also works together in preventing slipping from occurring within the shoes.
POWERFLOW Midsole
A two-piece POWERFLOW midsole features in the midsole of the Roadclaw 275 Knit, to provide you with the perfect combination of 15% more energy return and soft cushioned comfort. Delivering 10% better shock absorbing properties, the midsole prevents discomfort and absorbs impact from striking down on hard and changing surfaces, therefore keeping feet energetic and comfortable. The midsole incorporates an integrated Dynamic Fascia Band (DFB) that mimics the "Windlass Effect," providing exceptional energy with each step for quicker, more efficient movements. The DFB acts as a midsole shank, generating tension and stiffening the shoe as you transition onto your forefoot during strides. This design helps to propel you forward, promoting confident strides and a strong running gait. For a supportive fit, the shoes have an external heel cage which wraps around the rear of your shoes, encouraging more support and increasing stability across varying surfaces, whilst maintaining a better gait, especially during moments of fatigue.
TRI-C Outsole
Optimising grip and traction across a wide range of surfaces, the RoadClaw 275 features a TRI-C outsole, which is super grippy and durable to provide a confident grip and ensure you remain in control when running. Adorning this durable outsole are 3.5mm deep lugs which provide a sticky grip and dig deep into the changing ground below, especially wet, muddy grassy sections, making it a versatile shoe.
