GORE-TEX Upper
For ensuring protection on your next hiking adventure, the Randir GORE-TEX Mid feature a suede and textile upper which help to keep feet shielded from knocks and bumps. The materials allow a great level of airflow to pass through, meaning feet won't overheat, and you remain undistracted, to keep you focused on the trail ahead. Providing breathability, comfort and outstanding waterproofing, the walking boots utilise a GORE-TEX membrane which optimises climate comfort for an excellent wearing experience with ideal protection on hiking days. The GORE-TEX membrane leaves feet feeling dry and comfortable for days when the weather takes a turn, meaning you can concentrate solely on the hike ahead. Not only this, but the membrane provides you with moisture-wicking comfort, preventing a build-up of sweat and moisture and allowing feet to thrive under the pressures of your adventure. The boots have a minimal seam construction for next-to-skin softness, preventing possible friction or pressure points, to reduce discomfort on longer hikes. The Randir's also feature a new stretch-fit cuff design to provide Achilles support. When hiking feet need to move naturally and remain comfortable across changing terrains which is why LOWA have utilised their Flexfit technology through the structure of these shoes. The Flexfit design makes ankle movement much easier by providing an integrated "FlexZone" alongside a flexible Lace Loop, to save energy on the trails as well as, increase comfort when hiking. Finally, the boots have a 2 Zone Lacing system, meaning independent lacing zones feature on the forefoot and on the upper, to provide you with an improved, individualised fit and a locked-down, secure fit to reduce the risks of in-shoe slipping.
DynaPU+ Midsole
Offering you excellent underfoot cushioning and comfort, the Randir GORE-TEX Mid Walking Boots utilise a DynaPU+. The compound is specially developed to prevent rolling from occurring when traversing across changing terrain and rocky conditions. This soft cushioning absorbs impact when striking down on hard, unforgiving grounds, preventing injuries and keeping you comfortable. Additionally, the midsole offers your feet even better recovery due to the unique cell structure of the DynaPU+, which also creates an improved rebound effect during strides. This is present in a moderately stiff compound to provide a great balance between optimal support for your foot and a pleasant rolling experience, meaning strides are natural and comfortable.
Vibram Cornerstone Outsole
A new, unique addition to LOWA's hiking range, the Randir GORE-TEX Mid Walking Boots have a Vibram Cornerstone outsole. This outsole provides you with outstanding grip and traction on the ever-changing terrains of your hiking adventures. To ensure optimised grip when the surfaces change, the Vibram Outsole uses dual zone cushioning, an aggressive multi-direction tread pattern and a pronounced heel-break to ensure you remain focused on differing terrains.
