Waterproof Gaiter Upper
To provide your feet with a high level of protection on cold, wet mountaineering adventures, the Phantom Tech HDs have a waterproof gaiter upper construction making them the perfect companion for winter hikes. The waterproof gaiter design utilises PU Tek technology to provide a lightweight, yet exceptionally durable outer with a high degree of dexterity and feel, whilst helping to reduce the overall weight by 110g, making the Phantom Tech HD the lightest boot in its class. This lightweight waterproofing also ensures that the boots provide a precise fit for feet to remain comfortable throughout the trek. To ensure that feet stay dry even when out in the cold snow, the boots have an H-Dry membrane, meaning they possess the highest level of waterproofness, breathability and insulation. The fabrics are firmly laminated, meaning there are no seams and no gaps where water can penetrate. Rain and cold are blocked on the boots' outer surface and a large volume of dry air will keep your feet warm and cosy. Further assisting your comfort during cold conditions, the inner shell construction features a Primaloft 100 insulation layer which incorporates Primaloft Silver yarns, increasing the overall warmth and breathability of the garment. Finally, providing you with a locked-in fit, the boots have a revised fast lock system to provide you with an easily adjustable, secure holding of your feet, and provide exceptional protection from knocks and bumps. The Phantom Tech HD Walking Shoes use Vegan-Friendly materials, ensuring that no materials are sourced from animals and do not utilise any kind of animal testing.
AC Tech Roll Midsole
To ensure the shoes remain lightweight and comfortable underfoot, the shoes have an AC Tech Roll construction to provide increased cushioning and a more precise feel underfoot. The boots also have TPU Crampon inserts and a Carbon Tech 3 SL midsole also provides a perfect accompaniment for the C3 automatic crampons.
Vibram Outsole
The boot uses a Vibram outsole which provides the boot with supreme grip, traction and durability. Experts in mountaineering, Vibram produce millions of outsoles every year trusted by the best adventurers in the world. Even in volatile and slippery terrain, the outsole is able to form a strong connection with whatever is beneath it. For further grip, the boot has many deep lugs which can anchor the foot into a stable and firm position. Finally, allowing you to get even more of a grip and traction through cold, snowy conditions, the shoes have compatibility with C3 crampons, making them the ideal winter walking companion.
