GORE-TEX Upper
Upgraded to their predecessors, the Peregrine 15 GORE-TEX utilises a breathable high-strength mesh upper, that is abrasive-resistant and super durable to keep feet protected and comfortable. The Peregrine 15 GORE-TEX ensures your feet have a constant supply of fresh, cool air whilst protecting your feet and preparing you to conquer every trail. High-wearing areas have been reinforced with an extra layer of this high-strength mesh, keeping the shoes long-lasting and reliable run after run, and providing feet with added protection. Working with this, the shoes feature GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology to prevent feet from getting wet during poor and changing weather conditions when venturing difficult trails. The GORE-TEX membrane is also quick-drying to prevent feet from becoming uncomfortable when things get intense, by wicking moisture and sweat, keeping you dry inside and out. Increasing protection Saucony has included a durable toe guard to protect feet from knocks, bumps and bashes on changing trails. A cushioned tongue will remove the risk of irritation from rubbing and chafing and block dirt and debris from entering. Completing the uppers is a traditional lacing system that holds the midfoot in place, reducing movement within the shoe so you can enjoy uninterrupted strides.
PWRRUN Midsole
Powering the Peregrine 15 GORE-TEX is an all-new PWRRUN unit. The updated PWRRUN foam still provides that responsive feel you love but with even softer landings and increased flexibility allowing you to push yourself further for longer with confidence. The PWRRUN compound is a thick material that has shock-absorbing properties to reduce impact and strain on the foot, helping you to put those miles in whilst reducing the risk of injury. FormFit technology has been incorporated into the midsole to create a dynamic fit system. By adapting to the shape and motion of the runner's foot, the shoes can eliminate millimetres of movement with each stride, which in turn provides a more comfortable and stable run. This 3D approach to fit uses an underfoot cradle construction that is topped with cushioning that shapes your foot. Not only does FormFit work to provide a comfortable and supportive fit but, it is also highly flexible and hardwearing increasing the overall durability and comfort over long periods. FormFit surrounds the foot in a made-for-me feel which accommodates the feet giving them a feeling like these shoes were made specifically for you. Finally, the midsole features a Forefoot Rock Guard to shield your feet from rocks and debris on the trail.
PWRTRAC Outsole
Finishing the shoes is a newly improved PWRTRAC rubber outsole that provides maximum traction and grip on various surfaces, keeping your gait cycle as efficient as possible. The upgraded rubber provides full coverage of the sole increasing the surface area and providing a more secure footing as you navigate challenging terrains. Alongside this, are 5mm lugs which grip deep onto soggy trails, providing you excellent support on changing terrain. The ascent/descent-friendly lug configuration allows for ultimate levels of control. This means take-offs, turns and stops are super responsive and you can run in confidence knowing your shoes can handle variable terrain with ease. Not only is this super grippy but it is also lightweight, helping to reduce the weight of the shoes so you stay light on your feet.
