Ripstop Mesh Upper
Protecting your feet during poor weather hiking adventures, the Cloudrock Trek feature a mesh upper, with a waterproof membrane to keep your feet cool and dry. The mesh construction allows cool air to circulate, meaning feet will remain comfortable and cool, even during more intense sections of your journey. The waterproof membrane will prevent water from entering when traversing across different weather conditions and terrains. Further providing you with protection and durability, the Cloudrock utilises a TPU toe cap to protect your toe from rocks and uneven surfaces. The TPU heel clip works alongside the padded ankle collar to keep your feet stable and secure while the heel pull tabs assist in putting the boots on and off. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which locks the midfoot for a secure fit.
Advanced Midsole and Outsole
A unique construction to On, the Cloudrock Trek utilise a CloudTec compound, which works alongside Helion superfoam to supply you with a perfect level of underfoot cushioning and energy return. This combination of materials will provide you with a balanced level of cushioning to keep your feet comfortable and provide a soft landing on the trails, whilst simultaneously absorbing impact, reducing strain and adapting well to your walking style. Reacting according to your unique movements, CloudTec compresses horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should. The horizontal deformation of the Clouds as you move does more than just absorb impact, reduces braking force and propels you forward. It also helps prevent injury so you can keep pushing pain-free.
Providing optimal energy return, the Cloudrock Trek utilises On's X-shaped Speedboard plate through the midsole. This works by harnessing the kinetic energy generated as you walk, and turning it into momentum, bending and flexing while you move to push you forward. This powerful technology helps to provide responsive propulsion throughout every step. The boots also feature a closed channel through the midsole, which avoids stones becoming stuck whilst also ensuring things remain lightweight and agile. Utilising a newly updated Missiongrip rubber compound and new forefoot lugs, the Cloudrock Trek have exceptional grip and traction when traversing in dry and wet conditions.
