Breathable Mesh Upper
Supplying feet with a constant level of comfort and protection, the Cloudmonsters upper has been reworked with a breathable mesh upper that has been created with 92% total recycled Polyester. This has been combined with a new and softer lining to increase your comfort when out on your run. These materials increase airflow, whilst letting unwanted heat build up to escape ensuring that you remain cool no matter what stage of your run. The soft sensations of the materials prevent discomfort from occurring, and a no-sew construction stops irritation from being caused when wearing. The uppers like the previous model are moisture-wicking, meaning moisture and sweat are effectively removed from your skin's surface, therefore providing you with a quick-drying sensation. The step-in of the Cloudmonster makes running almost irresistible and utilising a soft sockliner the shoes are extremely comfortable, allowing you to enjoy your run for the duration. A plush tongue and cushioned collar sit against your ankle comfortably, providing you with an irritant-free experience. The lacing system of the Cloudmonster 2 has also been updated with a new eyestay construction. This provides you with a more secure and comfortable lockdown within the shoes, preventing in-shoe slippage from occurring, so you can run distraction-free.

On's Helion superfoam forms the shoe's midsole, this time reworked as a dual-density compound for ultimate bounce. The Cloudmonster 2 has been packed with even more foam to provide higher rebound and energy return than the previous model, keeping you fresh when putting in the miles. The midsole reacts according to your movements, compressing horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should providing you with nonstop comfort all day long. The Cloudmonster 2 has been created for soft landings and powerful take-offs, thanks to On's innovative CloudTec technology making every step effortless. CloudTec is a unique cushioning system that absorbs impact, reduces strain and adapts to your running style providing you with a comfortable ride from the first mile to the last. A Bounce board foam insert features in the forefoot that assures an even softer cushioning sensation and impact absorption whilst still providing high energy return. The shoes have been designed with rocker geometry, with this technology a unique fulcrum effect is created like a rocking chair, which encourages a guided gait cycle for a more efficient run. Sandwiched within the midsole is the all-new Nylon blend Speedboard, a full-length plate designed to give you extreme propulsion when transitioning from forefoot to midfoot. The plate bends and flexes with your run, to propel you forward, helping you achieve those PBs. The outsole of the shoe features updated rubber pads for greater traction and durability in wet and dry conditions than the previous model.
