Built for fast and light ski adventures, the Montane Niveus Lite Waterproof Jacket is a snow-ready, highly breathable GORE-TEX ePE shell. Supremely capable as a stand-alone shell, it's also engineered to work with highly breathable softshells, such as Montane's Nordes Jacket. Weighing just 360g (Medium), the Niveus Lite is the ultimate packable waterproof for sub-zero conditions.
Delivering waterproof protection with excellent breathability designed for high alpine missions that demand maximum performance with minimal weight, the Niveus Lite Jacket from Montane has been constructed using a GORE-TEX ePE membrane. This 3-Layer Nylon fabric is 100% recycled 20D Ripstop weave with C-Knit backer and offers reliable wet weather protection with a 28k Hydrostatic Head as well as excellent breathability. As the fabric has been optimised for breathability, the Niveus Lite works well in a multi-layer system alongside baselayers, midlayers and softshells such as the Nordes. This durably waterproof and reliably breathable GORE-TEX technology offers solid protection from rain, total windproofing and a long product life, all with a reduced carbon footprint. Laminated tech reduces the overall weight and durability in key areas of this garment. Underarm vents add to the breathability by allowing you control over airflow. They can be opened for high-energy ascents or closed when things cool down. A low profile snow-skirt offers lightweight protection and a helmet-compatible hood can be fully adjusted to shield you from wet and snowy weather while an adjustable hem allows you to get the perfect fit. Articulated sleeves, complete with hook-and-loop adjustment, deliver freedom of movement on demanding descents. To the front, a two-way YKK AquaGuard zip deflects biting winds when zipped up and allows full control over airflow. The Niveus Jacket features an offset seam construction that increases durability while keeping weight low and lastly, secure YKK AquaGuard zippered hand pockets and an internal drop pocket provide plenty of storage for essentials.
