Due to the knitted construction, the shoes allow for an optimum level of air to flow through the shoes, keeping feet fresh and comfortable, even on your more intense trail running sessions. The shoes will also provide a comfortable level of softness against your foot thanks to the lightly padded tongue that helps to ensure the shoes don't chafe or irritate the feet. Plus, the Toe Protect rubber compound wraps the toes to reinforce the shoe's trail-worthy state, increasing its durability and defending feet against roots, rocks and other general hazards. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The newest version of Fresh Foam is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. The full-length Fresh Foam keeps the cushioning consistent and improves the transition in the gait cycle. The top-bed foam and Fresh Foam X underfoot construction displaces heel impact and offers a responsive approach to cushioning. The Fresh Foam X Hierro V7s are still fitted with the New Balance signature plush, but firm and responsive cushioning. The midsole is also able to follow the natural bending of the foot, allowing the feet to move comfortably in a range of directions.
