OMM Mountain Core Smock
Combining revolutionary PrimaLoft Active insulation with OMM's lightweight and wind-resistant Flexile shell, the Mountain Core Smock is an incredibly effective insulating layer that still provides excellent breathability during activities with variable output.
The Mountain Core Smock from OMM has been created with a Flexile shell that has 4-way stretch and flexible panels. The stretchy construction allows you to move freely, without restricting your movement so you can continue your adventure distraction-free. The shell is wind-resistant and water-resistant thanks to a DWR (Durable Water-Resistant) coating to keep you dry and warm in light showers. The shell is highly breathable, allowing fresh air to circulate the smock whilst releasing heat build-up, keeping you at the perfect temperature throughout your activity. To increase warmth, OMM has used PrimaLoft Active, which is built from a synthetic plume woven through a knitted mesh. The materials offer the warmth of a fleece but with less than half the weight. This has all the benefits of synthetic insulation products in the Core range are designed to work in wet or dry conditions, with incredible wicking properties to ensure you won't stay wet for long. Using the 125g/m2 weight of PrimaLoft Active means 65% of the insulation is derived from recycled sources. The smock features a YKK quarter-length zip, that helps with easy on/off whilst also helping to control ventilation, when zipped down airflow is increased, which keeps you cool and when pulled up, it keeps you toasty on those colder days. Completing the OMM Mountain Core Smock is a large front fleece lined through-pocket to provide you with a space to store your essential items, this reverses to form a fleece pillow when resting your head.
