Highly versatile lightweight down jacket with just the right balance of warmth, weight and durability, the Featherlite Down Jacket now uses 100% recycled PERTEX QUANTUM ECO nylon outer fabric and is ideal for a range of winter activities, from climbing to mountain walking.
Designed to protect on any outdoor adventure, the Montane Featherlite Down Jacket is constructed with Pertex Quantum Eco fabric which is amongst the lightest, most reliable and most durable on the market. Focusing on engineering lightweight, breathable clothing and equipment for endurance sports in extreme environments. The 100% recycled nylon outer is designed to be a light, soft fabric that allows insulation to fully loft by tapping still air and improving the efficiency of insulation. Working to keep you warm and dry the Pertex Quantum fabrication has been treated with a highly durable water repellent treatment that can shed rain and snow easily for the winter months. It also works to block out cold winds so you can remain toasty and warm when the temperature drops. The construction also allows for a high level of breathability which works to increase airflow so you'll never feel and uncomfortable heat build-up. By allowing cool air to flow into the garment the ventilated fabric creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. Working with Pertex Quantum is a HyperDRY duck down at 750+ fill; it offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. The trapped air keeps your core temperature stabilised at all time so you can remain warm and comfortable when the mercury drops. The down is tightly woven and prevents the down from working through the jacket. Responsibly sourced the down used in this jacket is traceable and allows both the manufacturer and the end-user to track their down from garment to source. Down garments are by nature very packable because the loft can simply be compressed out by rolling the garment up plus, this down jacket features a micro baffle anatomical construction allows for perfect loft space for the down. As well as this, a PEAQ Down lining which provides ultimate next-to-skin comfort which is highly breathable and fast drying.
A fully adjustable insulated climbing helmet compatible hood with stiffened peak is quick and easy to use, so when the rain starts to fall, you can shape the hood and cover your head quickly and with little hassle. The full-zip exists for complete temperature control, it can be worn up to seal in the heat and zipped down to release an intolerable heat. The hem has an adjustable drawcord, which makes tightening and loosening to size easy to achieve. This can be adjusted to make it more comfortable, or to block wind from entering the jacket and causing discomfort. Pre-elasticated cuffs on the wrist help to retain heat and prevents body heat escaping. On the front of the jacket, 2 zippered hand pockets are perfect for cold winter days or if you need a place to stash a few essential items plus, a zipped chest pocket is perfect for valuables. Lastly, the jacket is supplied with a stuff sack for quick and easy storage.
