The Montane Extreme Jacket has become a modern outdoor classic. The first truly technical softshell, single layer mountain garment, designed and built without compromise. Tested in extreme, hostile conditions for nearly 20 years by mountaineers, climbers and on multiple high Arctic and Antarctic expeditions, both the Extreme Jacket and Extreme Smock have become trusted favourites of Mountain Rescue teams and outdoor professionals across the world.

The jacket is engineered with a variety of technical fabrics. PERTEX® is windproof, breathable and fast drying, ensuring you remain cool, protected and dry. DRYACTIV 3000 is a deep pile and offers warmth and moisture-management technology, and can retain body warmth even when wet. POLARDRI® is located on the elbows of the jacket and provides durability in key areas.

Other features of the jacket include articulated arms for a great range of movement whilst maintaining a secure fit. The hood features a three point adjustment and a wired peak for extra comfort and protection.
