The Alpine Spirit Jacket is the perfect do-it-all waterproof shell. Using 70 Denier GORE-TEX technology throughout, it is a reliable outer layer for long days in the mountains.
Equipped with GORE-TEX the Alpine Spirit is made with a 3-layer fabric which is durably waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. They combine comfort with reliable weather protection, even during extended activities in extreme weather. The fabric's construction keeps your body dry by reducing the accumulation of sweat, so you remain cool during aerobic activities and warm during cool-down. Made to meet the high demands of mountaineers, ski mountaineers, free riders, mountain guides and serious outdoor enthusiasts, garments made with 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric are engineered with added durability to withstand abrasion in rugged environments while protecting against extreme and unpredictable conditions with frequent work-rest cycles.
The jacket has technical tailoring around the arms to prevent arm lift raising the lower hem whilst reaching high. This is particularly useful when you need to maintain maximum coverage from the elements when on steep or tricky terrain that is exposed. With articulated elbow panels, it ensures the arms move ergonomically while the jacket has slightly larger chest and bicep dimensions which allow for winter layering and micro-climate creation to ensure you stay warm during the cold months.
The hood configuration is fully adjustable and is compatible with a helmet, designed to fit comfortably with layers and protective equipment. To keep you protected from the cold weather, the jacket features an adjustable face aperture with external cord exits for quick adjustments, a tall collar and a roller over beard guard lined with brushed fine microfleece. With an internal elastic loop and hook on the rear hood, it allows the hood to be rolled down and stowed away whilst not in use in windy conditions.
Featuring a full-length YKK AquaGuard VisLon front zip which provides high water resistance and an internal storm flap behind the centre front zip together with press studs to secure the hem and prevent further weather entry. The use of ergonomic zip pullers makes them easier to use when wearing gloves or mitts. Lastly, the gusseted cuffs are compatible with winter gloves, with shaped hook and loop adjustments for easy cinching for a close fit, to keep the cold air out.
Equipped with various pockets including two map-sized A-line hand-warmer pockets, a left-hand side chest pocket and an internal right-hand side stretch mesh pocket which is articulated to provide extra volume for goggles or a water bottle when required.
