Jacquard Mesh Upper
An updated material from their predecessors and to ensure feet are both breathable and comfortable on your next running adventure, the Wave Prodigy 5s utilise a jacquard mesh upper. This construction not only supplies feet with a constant level of airflow and breathability, but they ensure that irritations and chafing are restricted, thanks to the smooth fit that they provide. The materials are moisture-wicking, to prevent an uncomfortable growth of sweat or moisture, allowing your feet to thrive under pressure and keeping them dry throughout. The flexibility provided in the toe box keeps you comfortable and allows your toes to move flexibly. A traditional lace-up closure, provides you with a locked-in, secure fit, helping to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring and helping you remain focused on the run ahead.
Wave Technology Midsole
Mizuno has used their innovative Parallel Wave technology in the Prodigy 5 which uniformly disperses shock throughout the sole, providing excellent cushioning and enhanced stability. The Mizuno Wave provides flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The Wave absorbs the shock without compromising the comfort or cushioning while the initial shock is then transferred back to guide the athlete onto their next movement. The Mizuno Wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilize and guide the foot forward for better gait efficiency. Additionally, the midsole offers U4ic and U4icX midsole technologies. The midsole is predominantly made up of Mizuno's U4ic compound that rides and cushions like Mizuno's AP+ midsole but is approximately 30% lighter without any loss of comfort or performance. U4icX resides in the heel area and is a light evolutionary midsole compound that delivers a more comfortable cushioned ride with higher rebound, thus fulfilling the most comfortable energised ride. Lastly, Mizuno's Smoothride technology is provided in the midsole, which minimises the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, in order to create the smoothest ride possible.
X10 Outsole
