GORE-TEX Upper
Mizuno have incorporated GORE-TEX into the upper of the Wave Ibuki 3 to provide protection in the toughest climates. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, the GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Constrcuted using Mizuno's AirMesh upper, the Wave Ibuki 3 provide the utmost in breathability and comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. DynamotionFit technology provides a tailored, glove-like fit. The DynamotionFit system uses motion capture and biomechanics technology to bring you an upper that's designed to work with your foot through the gait cycle. Completing the upper is a lacing system which works to lock down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Mizuno Wave Midsole
Mizuno's wave technology is embedded into the midsole to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising the comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from that is harnessed and is then transferred to the forefoot to then push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. The midsole works to keep your feet protected from changes underfoot so you can continue in complete comfort and confidence that no matter how hard the trail your always going to perform.
X10 Outsole
The outsole is made with X10 which is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike so you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. Completing the outsole are X-Lugs that enhance grip on unpredictable terrain, allowing you to move through the trails at a faster pace.
