ASICS Metaspeed LD 2 Running Spikes
The ASICS Metaspeed LD 2 helps long-distance racers take longer strides. Using ASICS' FF Turbo cushioning, the spikes provide a more responsive rebound during toe-off and is teamed with a carbon plate to catapult you forward with an extended stride length. The outsole's spike configuration is designed to increase traction. It helps create an advanced grip while reducing resistance to the track's surface.
Motion Wrap 2.0 Upper
Enhancing the feel of the Metaspeed LD 2 is a Motion Wrap 2.0 upper construction. This provides an improved fit and better lockdown within the midfoot compared to the previous version. The materials wrap your feet, keeping them contained and providing greater support over long-distance runs, for complete confidence during competitions and training. The all-new upper increases the shoe's breathability, allowing cool air to flow throughout, whilst releasing built-up heat, keeping you cool and comfortable as you run. Additionally, the uppers are moisture-wicking to prevent a build-up of moisture and sweat, meaning feet will remain dry, even under pressure. The lightweight tongue and traditional lace-up closure lockdown the foot reducing in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.
FF Turbo Midsole
Extremely lightweight and responsive, the innovative FF Turbo will help to generate an exceptional response, to help you go and feel a lot faster. Upon every step, the midsole compresses before quickly snapping back to its original shape to give you an explosive response. The midsole foam provides exceptional cushioning taking the weight off joints like the knees and ankles, reducing the risk of injury whilst preventing fatigue. The impact on the ground will also be absorbed instantly, meaning the sole won't feel any uncomfortable forces. Working alongside this, a carbon plate runs from the midfoot towards the front to add structure while guiding the foot and propelling the body forward.
Six-Spike Outsole
On the outsole, the Metaspeed LD 2 has a six-pin spike plate, which has been designed to increase traction and support during your run. It also works wonders in providing a superior grip while keeping things smooth on the track's surface.
