MotionWrap TR Upper
Providing unrivalled breathability and comfort, the ASICS Metafuji Trail Shoes have been created with a MotionWrap TR upper to keep you focused on the trail ahead. This upper wraps around your foot, providing a sock-like fit and feel, for flexibility and freedom of movement. Created for the trail, the upper is highly durable, protecting itself from knocks and scrapes whilst also protecting your feet. The material is also highly breathable, allowing a steady flow of air in and out and keeping feet cool and comfortable as you put the miles in. The no-sew construction will also encourage targeted airflow whilst removing the risk of irritations caused by rubbing and chafing. Support is offered to the forefoot and rearfoot as the material thickens, protecting vulnerable areas of the feet whilst a flat-lying tongue prevents irritation. Providing you with visibility in low light conditions, the shoes feature reflective details, keeping you safe on those early morning or evening runs. Completing the upper of the Metafuji is a traditional lace-up construction, allowing you to keep your foot locked down and secure inside the shoes reducing in-shoe movement.
FF Turbo and FF Blast Plus Midsole
Created with a combination of foams the Metafuji Trail offers exceptional cushioning and energy return. Upon every step, the midsole compresses before quickly snapping back to its original shape to give you an explosive response. The midsole also provides softer landings taking weight off the joints like the knees and ankles. This will reduce injuries, as well as prevent fatigue from occurring. The foam absorbs impacts instantly meaning no uncomfortable forces felt by the sole. The midsole features a full-length trail-specific carbon plate, adding structure while propelling you forward, increasing speed and allowing you to conserve more energy and help maintain your pace at the later stages of the race. This combined with a curved midsole design helps to reduce ankle flexion, allowing runners to conserve more energy and run further with less effort. Increasing comfort the shoes include an OrthoLite sockliner that provides a soft feel as soon as you put the shoes on.
ASICSGRIP Outsole
Outstanding grip and traction are guaranteed with the ASICSGRIP outsole. Keeping you anchored to the ground beneath improving efficiency, making every second count. The rubber can form a solid grip on surfaces beneath for complete control in all conditions. Additionally, the rubber is extremely tough and abrasion-resistant, which means it will maintain its shape and definition over a long period for a long-lasting shoe. The outsole design will also provide further traction, with the lugs digging into the ground to provide further control.
