With advanced grip thanks to the Vibram Ecostep outsole, they help you dominate tricky terrain with ease, this GORE-TEX version provides highly breathable waterproofing to keep you going in adverse weather.
Recycled Mesh Upper with GORE-TEX
The upper is constructed with 100% recycled mesh and webbing for optimum air circulation and ventilation, meaning your feet can breathe. A lining made with 100% recycled mesh allows for temperature and moisture control by allowing heat and vapour to escape, and move to the outer of the shoe, to keep your feet feeling fresh and breezy. A GORE-TEX membrane provides highly breathable waterproof protection, whilst an ankle gaiter further locks out moisture and debris. To ensure a secure fit and a comfortable feel, the shoes have an external rear sling, which locks down the heel. The recycled quicklaces keep your feet secure within the shoes. Cleansport NXT is utilised to deliver natural anti-odour protection, keeping feet fresh as you work hard. A 30% recycled integrated EVA foam insole provides underfoot support and cushioning.
FloatPro Foam Midsole
Within the midsole Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material offers enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. The midsole has been built with Merrell Barefoot 2 construction. It is designed to keep the foot in a natural position, with a zero drop, to encourage natural running form. By hitting the ground with your forefoot, rather than your heel, your speed will increase and your likelihood of injuring your joints will be lessened.
Vibram Ecostep Outsole
Finished with a Vibram Ecostep outsole, made from 30% recycled rubber, for an innovative combination of sustainability and performance. It provides added durability and improved grip on wet and dry surfaces. 2.5mm lugs grip onto the ground beneath and tackle smooth, rough, wet, and dry surfaces with ease, so you can take your adventures to the next level in confidence.
