Mesh, Leather and Waterproof Upper
A waterproof membrane kickstarts this walking shoe to provide an impermeable membrane that seals out water and lets moisture escape. This membrane sheds external moisture from precipitation and wet ground conditions whilst still allowing moisture from physical activity to escape to give you dry comfort inside and out. In addition, the upper is made from a combination of leather and mesh which provides optimal ventilation and durability. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. The leather aids durability as well as enhancing structural integrity, providing protection on uneven terrain. Other features on the upper include woven eyelets and traditional lacing that work together to offer a secure fit, while a bellows tongue keeps debris out of the shoes, helping you stay comfortable throughout your walk. Finishing the upper of the boots, Merrell have used 200g of lightweight insulation to keep your feet toasty no matter how cold the weather gets.

The FloatPro Foam unit works endlessly to reduce and disperse impact forces away from the foot providing a plush and comfortable feeling with every step. This provides you with a lightweight, medium-density midsole that is designed to last and ensure all-day comfort. Finishing the midsole of the Thermo Cross 3, Merell have included a heat-reflecting insole that radiates body heat back towards the foot for all-day warmth.
Vibram XS Trek Evo and Vibram Arctic Grip Outsole
Arctic Grip is the most advanced cold weather gripping system ever created by Vibram, providing 3x more traction on wet, icy surfaces compared to other outsole systems. In addition, the Flex Connect system stretches its way onto the outsole which provides a sticky, durable rubber outsole with skeleton-like lugs and flex grooves that move with the foot.
