Merrell MQM 3 Mid GORE-TEX Women's Walking Boots
Standing for Moving Quickly in the Mountains, the third iteration of the MQM 3 GORE-TEX Walking Boot is stable enough to hike in, agile enough to run in, and durable enough for light scrambling. The third version features a new grippy Vibram sole and a lace-to-toe lacing system for an improved locked-in fit.
GORE-TEX Upper
The mesh and TPU upper allows for optimum moisture and temperature control, as hot stuffy air and sweat can escape through the mini perforations, and cool air can enter. The advanced GORE-TEX membrane allows vapour and moisture to escape from the shoe inner, whilst simultaneously protecting the foot from water ingress, for happy, dry, comfortable feet. The GORE-TEX membrane is designed to protect your feet from water, whilst feeling so lightweight you hardly notice you're wearing a shoe at all. A bellows tongue prevents dirt, debris and water from entering the shoe while the lace-to-toe lacing system ensures an incredibly secure, stable fit that can take on whatever the trail throws at it. Complete with a protective TPU toe cap the boot protects your feet from rocks, debris and other potential hazards out in the elements, so you can go forth confidently and comfortably.
EVA Midsole
The midsole has been constructed using EVA to ensure long-lasting comfort and increased cushioning. The EVA offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. An air cushion also features in the midsole to provide shock absorption and stability. The air cushion can be found in the heel to reduce stress on the foot with each step; this, in turn, lessens the impact during heel strikes and helps to cradle the heel to maintain proper alignment. Finishing the midsole a moulded Nylon arch shank adds the final measure of firmness you need to make every step as sure as the last.
Vibram TC5+ Outsole
Developed to provide traction and grip, the MQM 3 GORE-TEX has been constructed using a Vibram TC5+ rubber outsole. Multi-directional lugs feature on the outsole which ensures optimal traction and grip on varied terrains for confident footing. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the MQM will perform time and time again. The outsole enables confidence in the most extreme trail environments to keep you grounded at all times. Completing the outsole is a rock plate which provides added underfoot protection. The rock plate protects the feet from rocks and harsh terrain, so you can focus on your adventures.
