Waterproof, Breathable Upper
Providing your feet with a combination of warmth, breathability and waterproofing, the upper construction of the Moab Speed Thermo utilises a range of exceptional fabrics. A combination of textile and full-grain waterproof leather provides your feet with protection from rain and snowy conditions, keeping them dry on your next winter adventures. Not only this, but the use of leather provides you with a long-lasting and reliable pair of boots, perfect for the range of conditions you may face. The boots also use strategically placed 40% recycled mesh to enhance the breathability of the boots and allow for comforting airflow in and out of the garment. The boots have been designed to tackle the cold and snowy conditions, which is why 200 grams of Primaloft Gold Eco synthetic insulation alongside a comfortable fleece lining has been used in the uppers of these walking boots. This combination of materials enhances warmth and comfort inside the boots, by trapping heat, providing you with exceptional cosiness in cold weather. To protect feet from dirt and debris, the Moab Speed Thermos have a padded collar and bellowed tongue, preventing discomfort against your feet, as well as, ensuring a secure fit. Working alongside this are 100% recycled laces, for a secure fit, which also prevents unwanted in-shoe slippage from occurring. The boots are also compatible with gaiters due to the Gaiter D-Ring that's provided. Finally, the boots have reflective details to enhance your visibility on low-light winter adventures.
FloatPro Foam Midsole
Within the midsole Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. A PU footbed sits underneath the foot to ensure complete comfort over long distances. The insole provides additional cushioning so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Vibram Icetrek Outsole
Preparing you for long winter adventures, the boots utilise a Vibram Icetrek outsole. This has been designed to provide an improved level of grip when walking on cold, icy or snowy surfaces, giving you the grip you need throughout the changing winter weather. As well as this, the boots have Vibram traction lugs which have been specifically designed for increased traction on the variety of surfaces you may encounter, and work to shed debris with each and every step.
