Full-Grain Leather Upper
To supply your feet with exceptional levels of protection, the Forestbound Walking Shoes utilise a full-grain leather upper. To add some breathability, a mesh lining is supplied, meaning your feet will remain comfortable and cool when the journey begins to heat up. Not only this, but the shoes have moisture-wicking properties, ensuring that your feet remain comfortable and dry even when things might start to feel a bit sweaty. For protection and stability on the toes, the shoes have a protective die-cut rubber rand, preventing discomfort from knocks and bumps. The shoes have a traditional lace-up closure, to provide a secure, locked-in fit, and work to prevent in-shoe slippage from occurring. A bellowed tongue helps the shoes sit comfortably against your feet, whilst also preventing dirt and debris from entering.
EVA Foam Midsole
An EVA compound resides in the midsole for extreme cushioning and comfort to help improve the feel and performance of the shoe, especially on unpredictable terrain. The EVA also contains shock absorption properties and is highly responsive to help lessen the burden placed on your knees and joints. A kinetic Fit BASE removable contoured insole also adds flexible support underfoot. Completing the midsole is the moulded nylon arch shank, a supportive structure which reduces the impact placed upon your body and improving the protection of your arches and minimising foot fatigue in the process.
Merrell Sticky Rubber Outsole
In order to provide durable traction and support on varied terrain, the outsole of the Forestbound Walking Boots utilises Merrell's Sticky Rubber Outsole. This outsole compound provides durable traction that provides grip when, and where you need it most. The 5mm lug depth adds stability and control, particularly when making your way through both wet and dry ground as well as mixed terrain.
