GORE-TEX Upper
Designed to provide lightweight comfort, the Mammut Sertig II GORE-TEX Walking Boots have been constructed using an air mesh upper. The lightweight and highly breathable upper construction allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape. To avoid damp feet and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; it integrates with the mesh upper to supply a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Furthering the waterproofing of the boot is the elastic GORE-TEX tongue construction that ensures water can't get in from the top, and keeps all parts of your feet well protected. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. By perfectly matching the GORE-TEX membrane to the footwear upper material, wrinkles and folds are eliminated, reducing pressure points and creating a true-to-size forefoot area. Reduced weight, less water pick-up and faster drying times are among the other benefits of this boot technology. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. The mid-height design provides you with exceptional support around your ankle leaving you to feel confident on any terrain.
EVA Midsole
Mammut have used an EVA midsole to provide you with excellent cushioning throughout. They have strategically mapped out a variety of dense EVA in the midsole of the boot giving you the correct amount of support in key areas. The layer which resides under the toe offers the sensitivity needed to keep the forefoot well-protected. A Memo Foam insole is another unique technology specific to Mammut, ensuring you have an individual fit as well as cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel.
Swiss Design Rubber Outsole
The Sertig II GORE-TEX Walking Boots feature a highly durable rubber outsole. The outsole provides traction and grip on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence as you explore. Whilst adding traction, the Swiss Design rubber also provides increased durability. Completing the outsole are multi-directional lugs that provide added traction and grip on uneven wet terrain.
