GORE-TEX Upper
Designed to provide lightweight comfort, the Mammut Sapuen High GORE-TEX Walking Boots have been constructed using an air mesh upper. The lightweight and highly breathable upper construction allow cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst at the same time allowing hot humid air to escape. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT membrane resides inside the shoe; it integrates with the mesh upper to supply a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. By perfectly matching the GORE-TEX membrane to the footwear upper material, wrinkles and folds are eliminated, reducing pressure points and creating a true-to-size forefoot area. Reduced weight, less water pick-up and faster drying times are among the other benefits of this running shoe technology. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
Mammut have used an EVA midsole to provide you with excellent cushioning throughout. They have strategically mapped out a variety of dense EVA in the midsole of the shoe giving you the correct amount of support in key areas. The layer which resides under the toe offers the sensitivity needed to keep the forefoot well protected. Flextron Technology supports the natural rolling movement of the foot and thus more efficient use of energy when hiking and mountaineering. A Memo Foam insole combined with Mammut Georganic 3D Technology guarantees maximum comfort, another unique technology specific to Mammut, ensuring you have an individual fit as well as cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel.
Vibram Outsole
Optimised for hiking, the Sapuen High GORE-TEX Walking Boots feature a Vibram outsole that is designed to offer a great grip for surefooted navigation. The rubber blend Vibram sole provides a secure grip on outdoor surfaces for a secure and confident step on any terrain. The rubber material provides the walking boots with a durable, long-lasting nature as the rubber does not wear easily. The sole design supports self-cleaning, provided by the lugs which are designed to remove the mud from the sole of your shoes as you walk for a more secure and stable step even on rough terrain.
