GORE-TEX and Mastrotto Split Leather Upper
The GORE-TEX upper ensures the boots are durably waterproofed whilst also delivering optimised breathability. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside, thanks to their non-insulated construction. They are the ideal solution for people who value comfort and performance thanks to the outstanding climate control and heat release. This high-cut via ferrata boot is designed for hikers and backpackers with attempting to stay light on their feet. The upper boasts extreme comfort thanks to the sustainably sourced, 'Made in Italy' Mastrotto Split leather which also works to provide durability and protection on tough terrain. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. An elastic pre-shaped GORE-TEX tongue helps keep dirt and debris out of the shoe, whilst also providing a snug, sock-like fit. The upper construction has been made with Motion Control- the reinforced, flexible inside prevents you from twisting your ankle while maintaining full freedom of movement so you can navigate challenging terrain with ease. Completing the upper is a 2 zone lacing system which can be adjusted to person and to situation. The lacing system ensure a locked down fit so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Memo Foam Midsole
Constructed using a memo foam midsole, the Kento Tour High GORE-TEX Walking Boots keep you comfortable mile after mile. The soft foam spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces by cushioning your feet on uneven terrain. As well as this, Memo foam also provides an individual fit as well as cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel. A soft flex zone also feature within the midsole to support the anatomical shape of the foot and encourages a natural rolling motion; this reduces strain places upon the feet and allows for fluid motion. Completing the midsole is motion control which prevents twisting within the shoe whilst still allowing for freedom of movement. The control system prevents the foot from twisting too much and therefore significantly reduces the risks of injury.
Vibram Rubber Outsole
Constructed using Vibram Hexa Tech, the Kento Tour High GORE-TEX Walking Boots provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. This high-performance rubber compound gifts you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The Vibram rubber is built for extremely slippery terrain as it can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. The strategically placed lugs on the outsole as well as the varying sizes of the lugs ensure you have the traction where you need it in specific places. Working together with the insole and the elements of the Upper, the Kento aims to give you all the stability and protection required for technical terrains.
