Helios SR is the minimalist shoe by La Sportiva dedicated to the world of sky races and vertical competitions. Every detail has been thought to keep weight at a minimum without compromising the structural and protective features fundamental for racing.
Upper - Hydrain mesh
Take down the trails with La Sportiva's Helios trail shoe. The upper Medial and Lateral side are formed with a Highly breathable and abrasion resistant hydrain and air mesh upper, which allows airflow to the interior to keep the foot cool. It also provides interior sweat wicking capability's to keep the foot dry through transition. At the forefoot up to the padded tongue is structured with Poly Grid™ for superior ventilation and extra enhanced comfort.
Supporting the upper materials a mesh shielding that promote anti-abrasion properties diminish rocks and roots from damaging the material. This coincides with the synthetic EVA overlays that engage a stabilised fit. This acts upon torsion with full flexibility while still maintaining its shape. Extra protection is given with a Integrated Toe and heel inserts in protective micro fibre form allows for a smooth impact, protecting the Achilles and flanges through the gait cycle.
Midsole - Morpho Dynamic technology
The midsole consists of full length Morpho Dynamic midsole technology with injected EVA wedge that allows the shoe to adapt to all types of terrains. It offers a high degree of cushioning to the underfoot, reducing forces pressed upon the foots platform and provides a better elasticity of the compound. These features assist a soft stride that propel you through transition for optimal cushioning and supports torsion rigidity and edging capability on rocky, uneven terrains.
Outsole - FriXion XT compound
Gripping the ground with ease the outsole section engages a Dual density sole. In the La Sportiva Helios SR, you can expect a full-length FriXion XT compound and the VA Wave treading pattern. These improve the shoe's flexibility, grip and traction on varied trail surfaces. It also incorporates a grippy rear zone to promote the push in climb and hold downhill, shock absorbing and long lasting rear. The Rear, constriction-free, Flex-zone promotes the natural movement of the foot.
