Keen Arroyo II Walking Sandals
Nominally a walking sandal and formerly known as the Taos, the Arroyo II's extensive use of overlays and supportive elements in fact lend it an appearance more akin to that of a walking shoe. Employing elements from both, this versatile platform combines support, breathability and grip in equal abundance.
Waterproof Leather Upper
Providing a high level of breathability, combined with waterproof protection, the Arroyo II Walking Sandals utilise a waterproof leather upper, that has open vents for keeping you at an optimum level of comfort. The protective leather upper construction is environmentally preferred premium leather from an LWG-certified tannery for a more sustainable choice of shoes. The sandals have a hydrophobic mesh lining providing moisture-wicking comfort, by ensuring moisture and sweat are removed effectively to keep you focused and comfortable on the trail. A heel support structure also works to secure the heel firmly in place, which also prevents slipping and consequential blistering from occurring. The sandals utilise KEEN's Original Fit-Iconic structure, which provides feet with a generous amount of space across the forefoot, allowing toes to spread comfortably and naturally. Additionally, an Eco-Odor lining prevents an unwanted build-up of odorous microbes, stopping unfortunate odours and keeping you comfortable and feeling fresh. Finally, a lace-lock bungee system provides you with the preferred fit and feel, allowing your feet to remain secure within the sandals, and preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring.
EVA Midsole
The sandal's primary cushioning ability is derived from a dual-density, compression-moulded EVA midsole compound that absorbs the brunt of the initial heelstrike phase of the gait whilst simultaneously attenuating shockwaves as it transitions forwards towards the toe-off phase. A removable, metatomical EVA footbed adheres to the contours of the foot for an adaptive lockdown. Torsional stability is afforded by an ESS stability shank that prevents the shoe from twisting throughout the midfoot, particularly useful on the rugged, uneven terrain this sandal is likely to be expected to perform on.

Providing you with an exceptional level of grip and support on varied terrain, the sandals utilise a KEEN.ALL TERRAIN Outsole. This provides you with an exceptional level of grip and support when traversing across interchanging terrain. Additionally, the outsole of the Arroyo II boasts non-marking multi-directional lugs that further provide you with comprehensive grip and traction.
