Woven Jacquard Upper

An update from their predecessors, the Mafate Speed 4 now has a single-layer jacquard mesh. This construction allows air to flow freely and comfortably through the shoes, supplying you with a constant level of breathability. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The increase in airflow creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in and ensures you remain comfortable when your session heats up. The fabrication hugs the foot offering lightweight support whilst strategically placed overlays across the midfoot help to lock the foot down in the shoe keeping you feeling secure and locked in for a stable and supportive fit. Ensuring much-needed support, the overlays also increase durability by protecting both the shoe and the foot from possible damage that may be encountered along the trail. A rubber toe cap for shielding against hard knocks and bumps and a gusseted tongue has been added to the upper to provide next-to-skin comfort. This prevents any dirt or debris from entering the shoes, whilst also providing ventilation to your feet, for ultimate confidence with every stride. A breathable heel pull tab assists you in putting the shoes on easier, and traditional, recycled lace-up construction provides your feet with a locked-in, secure fit so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

The Mafate Speed 4 is expertly curated with a new PROFLY+ midsole. This is a brand new, lightweight, responsive compound that provides a more resilient and tuned cushioning for an energised ride. Profly+ is ideal for this running shoe as it prevents the wearer from feeling weighed down and will keep you feeling light and quick on your feet. As well as this, it absorbs shock and impacts in key areas of the shoe, helping to stabilise the foot and keeping you firmly on your feet. An early-stage meta-rocker resides through the midsole, providing your feet with a smooth transition through toe-off. The Mafate Speed 4 is equipped with the lightest and most responsive HOKA foam underfoot.
