The North Face Hedgehog GORE-TEX Mid Walking Boots
The Hedgehogs are The North Face's classic, tried and tested hiking boots designed for versatility and comfort. This new iteration utilises a waterproof, durable GORE-TEX bootie to stop rain and water from muddy puddles in its tracks. They have a supportive midfoot shank; the toe area gives added stiffness over technical rock, and the heel shape is optimised for comfort. The Vibram XS Trek outer soles deliver the optimum grip and traction on a range of terrain.
GORE-TEX Upper
To keep feet shielded and comfortable during hiking adventures, the Hedgehog GORE-TEX Mid has a PU-coated leather and synthetic nubuck leather upper, alongside durable mesh inserts. For outstanding levels of protection and durability, the combination of PU-coated leather and synthetic nubuck leather is highly durable to keep you comfortable and confident in your choice of footwear. These leather elements are present in areas that are usually high-wearing to add longevity to the uppers and protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trail. Mesh fabric provides feet with a constant supply of airflow, keeping them fresh and feeling cool, especially during periods of high-heat, intensive activities. The materials have quick-drying properties, preventing the growth of sweat and moisture, by wicking this from the inside of the boots, keeping feet dry on long hiking days. Additionally, a highly durable GORE-TEX 3L waterproof bootie, with a recycled liner, keeps feet dry from challenging conditions and are extremely breathable to keep you comfortable. The materials are also windproof, meaning the fabric blocks wind from penetrating the boots, reducing the effects of windchill. The Hedgehog GORE-TEX Mid has a stiff toe area to protect your feet from knocks, bumps and scrapes and add stiffness for traversing tricky trails. Finally, the boots have a lace-up system to lock down the midfoot and provide you with a secure fit, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring and keeping you focused on the adventures ahead.
EVA Midsole
Produced using a lightweight EVA compound, the Hedgehog GORE-TEX Mid provides optimum cushioning and keeps comfortable across changing trail conditions. With impact-absorbing properties the midsole works to absorb the shocks when striking down on hard, changing trails, reducing the risks of irritation or injury, allowing you to enjoy every stride. A midfoot shank and a TPU heel cradle provide feet with added comfort, stability and extra reinforcement on long days.
Vibram XS Trek Outsole
