Designed for 5k to half-marathon distances, the FuelCell SuperComp Pacer from New Balance contains Energy Arc technology, a carbon fibre plate and a double-layer springy FuelCell midsole to help propel your strides forward. These racing flats also feature a single-layer engineered mesh upper for breathability and a lightweight feel. The sleek design offers runners a lower stack height racing solution and a snappy ground feel.
Synthetic Engineered Mesh Upper
Featuring a synthetic engineered mesh upper, the FuelCell SuperComp Pacer delivers an extremely breathable and lightweight feel. This breathable design ensures that your feet remain cool and comfortable during those longer runs. The single-layer engineered mesh enables the warm build-up of air to escape the shoe and cool air to circulate so that you can stay focused on reaching your goals without the worry of discomfort. A sleek tongue construction and thinner collar further minimise distractions and enhance comfort. The thinner collar provides maximum heel lockdown to keep you feeling secure with a reliable and lightweight fit. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which enables a secure fit that locks the foot in place comfortably.
FuelCell Foam Midsole
The FuelCell midsole compound is a nitrogen-infused foam that drives you off the cushioning platform quickly and delivers long-lasting performance. Delivering high-rebound, the FuelCell SuperComp Pacer creates an energetic propulsive feel with an ultra-lightweight running experience. The propulsive feel helps to drive you forward and an overall low-stack design provides you with a snappy ground feel for an even faster feeling on race days. The midsole further absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you heel strike and uses the energy to catapult you off into your next step, allowing you to be faster still. Energy Arc pairs advanced carbon-fibre plate geometry with strategically shaped and placed midsole voids that have been designed to increase stored energy to deliver a high amount of total energy return. Thanks to its carbon-fibre plate, the FuelCell SuperComp Pacer is designed to be more aggressive in providing more energy return and propulsion during toe-off.
Lightweight Rubber Outsole
Finishing up the Fuelcell SuperComp Pacer is a lightweight rubber outsole that provides great traction and durability. The lightweight rubber compound won't hold you back on race day so you are free to push harder and reach your goals. With added durability, the outsole provides protection for the midsole so that every step is cushioned during many long races. Lastly, a midfoot cutout further reduces the weight of the shoe.
