Engineered Mesh Upper
Created with an engineered mesh upper the Fresh Foam More v5 wraps your feet in breathable comfort. The upper uses micro perforations to encourage cool air to flow whilst allowing heat, vapour and moisture to escape for a pleasant cooling sensation as you move. This provides all-day comfort as excess moisture is wicked away to the surface of the shoe where it can then dry quickly and feet can breathe. Thanks to its lightweight construction, you can run faster without bulk holding you back. The upper is completed with a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement and ensuring greater stability and control.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
Providing maximum cushioning and softness, the midsole features a wide base at the forefoot and features Fresh Foam X with approximately 3% bio-based content delivering New Balance's most cushioned Fresh Foam experience for incredible comfort. The newest version of Fresh Foam provides greater rebounds than its predecessor. Attenuating shock impact, the Fresh Foam X protects joints against stress when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the Fresh Foam is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-toe transition and reduces the use of superfluous muscle power; this diminishes fatigue, keeping you motivated for longer. The upper of the midsole runs higher around the heel and midfoot so that you are standing in the midsole, rather than on it, thus guiding you steadily forward.
Durable Rubber Outsole
A durable rubber outsole completes the Fresh Foam More v5, supplying a tacky grip for multi-directional traction. The highly durable rubber can withstand damage from various surfaces to give you added confidence when out running. The sole creates a solid friction bond with the ground below, keeping you in control as you race around the roads, reducing the risk of injury during wear. Multi-directional grooves feature on the outsole to increase traction, as they are strategically placed to assist with acceleration, braking and changes of direction. Finishing the More v5, the outsole features a more rigid rubber under the heel and midfoot to provide more torsional stiffness.
