Salomon Cross Over 2 GORE-TEX Women's Walking Shoes
The women's CROSS OVER 2 GORE-TEX wraps the grip and bold design of Salomon's best-selling SPEEDCROSS trail running shoe into an intrepid hiking package. This updated version takes the best of the original and adds more cushioning, grip and waterproof GORE-TEX protection.
GORE-TEX Upper
To ensure feet remain comfortable, breathable and dry on your next adventure, the Cross Over 2 GORE-TEX shoes have a combination of resistant mesh and a GORE-TEX waterproofing. The resistant mesh provides you with an exceptional level of comfort and protection, by preventing damage from being caused by knocks, bumps and scrapes, as well as, supplying you with a constant level of airflow, to ensure feet don't overheat. The mesh will prevent dirt and debris from being trapped between your foot and the footbed, keeping you comfortable on the trail. The GORE-TEX construction keeps feet from getting wet due to its durable waterproofing as well as, keeps you protected from the wind, shielding you from the elements. The shoes have a reinforced toecap to prevent tearing and abrasion from occurring, providing you with a long-lasting, reliable pair of shoes, whilst also protecting you from knocks and bumps on the trail. The shoes feature Salomon's Sensifit design with a seamless design, the shoes have a clever construction to provide you with a precise, optimal foothold and comfort. Completing the uppers of the Cross Over 2's is a traditional lacing system, making it exceptionally easy to secure the foot and reduce in-shoe movement.
EnergyCell+ Midsole
Sticking to the traditional Speedcross roots, the Cross Over 2 has been created with an EnergyCell+ midsole. EnergyCell+ is a high-rebound midsole technology that delivers substantial cushioning and durability. This midsole compound provides superior cushioning, stability and motion control to provide an efficient, stable and responsive ride. Energycell+ works to provide exceptional energy return by absorbing shocks when the foot strikes the ground and using it to propel you forward in the next step, this works to improve your foot's natural gait. Whilst, superior cushioning is generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. The shoes deliver a 60% reduction in joint force to deliver a great balance of cushioning resiliency and a smooth ride. Increasing underfoot comfort, the shoes include an OrthoLite insole, that provides additional cushioning whilst also being highly breathable and moisture-wicking so you stay cool, dry and comfortable.
Contagrip Outsole
The outsole of the shoe is the ultra-grippy Contagrip outsole, providing you with an unmatched level of grip and traction on varied terrain. This improved compound means the shoes will not only form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain but will work to shed mud quickly. This is due to their hiking-specific lugs, that will anchor you in place, therefore providing you with the perfect level of grip on all types of terrain, including wet and muddy conditions. This will benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking the next stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking or changing direction.
