Engineered Mesh Upper
Constructed using an engineered mesh upper, the ASICS Contend 8 encase each foot in breathable comfort. This aids moisture management by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced and then transferring it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your little ones' feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for their feet to thrive in. As well as this, overlays work with the lacing system to lock down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so they can go further for longer in complete comfort. Additionally, the upper has a soft heel collar that sits comfortably against the skin to reduce the risks of chafing and irritation and lastly, a rubber toe cap with rubber stitching enhances durability.
EVA Midsole
The midsole of the ASICS Contend 8 features a comfortable, flexible and durable EVA compound. This midsole ensures comfortable cushioning, enhanced durability and more flexibility. The midsole material is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort, and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, the EVA spares your kids' joints as they strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Completing the midsole is a sockliner that provides added underfoot cushioning as well as enhanced breathability. The sockliner allows cool air to flow throughout the midsole to ensure their feet remain fresher for longer.
Durable Rubber Outsole
