Ripstop Upper with GORE-TEX
The upper is constructed from lightweight yet tough and durable ripstop fabric that can handle anything the trail throws at it. It protects itself from scuffs and bumps caused by debris, and the stretch knit tongue and traditional lacing system hug the foot for a secure fit that gives you complete control and stability. The GORE-TEX membrane lining the upper provides ultra-breathable waterproofing. It allows heat and moisture to escape from the inside whilst blocking external water molecules from entering the shoe, so you stay dry and protected all day long.
Lightweight EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. As well as this, a breathable, cushioned removable Ortholite footbed ensure long-lasting underfoot comfort. The insole allows for ample ventilation so your feet remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times.
OPTI-STUD Outsole
Developed to provide excellent grip and durability in all weather conditions, the VC22 GORE-TEX Walking Shoes have been constructed using Berghaus' signature Opti-Stud outsole. Ensuring multi-directional grip the outsole ensures traction on varied terrain ensuring confident footing whether you're hiking or out for a leisurely stroll in the local park. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the VC22 will perform time and time again.
