ASICS GT-1000 12 GORE-TEX Running Shoes
Designed for those with an active lifestyle, the GT-1000 12 GORE-TEX shoe is a functional running shoe, that is also great for wearing to the gym.
GORE-TEX Upper
Keeping feet comfortable and protected in changing running conditions, the GT-1000 12 GTX shoes utilise a GORE-TEX upper construction. The materials are highly durable and will protect your feet from poor weather, ensuring feet remain dry in all conditions, including snow and heavy rain. The materials are also moisture-wicking to provide your feet with a dry sensation even during warm sessions, this is done by effectively removing sweat and moisture from the surface of your skin, to keep you comfortable. Not only this, but the uppers are highly breathable to ensure feet feel fresh and cool from start to finish. Additionally, the shoes are met with a tongue wing construction that helps to provide you with a more supportive fit, and working alongside this is a traditional lace-up system to keep the shoes secure, and prevent in-shoe slippage from occurring during training and running sessions.
FlyteFoam Midsole
A FlyteFoam cushioning is used through the midsoles of the GT-1000 12, and similar to the previous version, the construction provides you with a soft feel underfoot and an exceptional level of cushioned comfort. The EVA compound works to absorb shock as your strike down on unforgiving ground, therefore reducing the stress and strain that's placed on the foot and joints, therefore minimising the risk of injury. Teamed with rearfoot GEL technology, the midsole section provides you with an exceptionally soft landing and smooth transition, and an Ortholite X-30 sockliner further adds to your step-in comfort. LITETRUSS technology is placed in the midsole's inside angle to reduce pronation, helping to produce a more supportive stride whilst keeping overpronation at bay.
Solid Rubber Outsole
The shoes have a solid rubber outsole, combined with a medial wrap-up, for enhancing the durability of the shoes. The rubber outsole can form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to ensure traction and grip on road surfaces. As well as this, the rubber outsole is highly durable to ensure long-lasting wear. The durable nature of the rubber will not wear down easily so these shoes will withstand long training sessions over and over again. Completing the outsole are flex grooves that assist with grip and form a solid base to push from. The grooves allow the whole of the outsole to naturally flex where the foot flexes to increase comfort as well as performance.
