ASICS Gel-Kayano Lite 2 Running Shoes

The Gel-Kayano Lite 2 running shoe embraces sound earth. With a focus on sustainability, this shoe keeps your step stable and your mind light.

Recycled Mesh Upper

The upper of the Gel-Kayano Lite 2 has been constructed using recycled materials, even more than the previous iteration. This means that shoes not only look good and feel good, but are better for the environment too, making them an eco-conscious choice. This mesh structure is covered in micro-perforations that allow heat, vapour and moisture to escape, whilst simultaneously encouraging fresh air to enter and circulate, for a pleasant cooling sensation. A traditional lacing system keeps the shoe anchored to the foot securely, giving you greater stability and control. The upper has also been specially designed with a structure that targets key support zones for increased support and stability.

Flytefoam Midsole

ASICS have utilised their sporting expertise in the midsole of the Gel-Kayano Lite 2, delivering a high performance running shoe that is guaranteed to impress. Made from organically derived materials, Flytefoam is a lightweight foam that improves shock absorption during the landing phase of your stride, for a reduced risk of injury, reduced fatigue and reduced energy loss. It does all this whilst remaining incredibly durable for long-lasting use and enjoyment. The midsole utilises 3D Space Construction technology which addresses the gait differences of male and female runners and is designed to reduce over-pronation, which keeps your foot supported. Furthermore, Gel technology cushioning provides excellent shock absorption for further comfort and support. The midsole is topped with an Ortholite sockliner for additional step-in cushioning comfort.

AHAR Outsole

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. An impact guidance system exists underfoot to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel-strike to toe-off. The guidance line exists to enhance gait efficiency while increasing the shoe's torsional rigidity to prevent it from twisting.
