With a durable upper for overfoot protection, a softer and more responsive midsole with FloatPro Foam pods strategically placed under the heel and forefoot where you need extra cushioning the most. This version also includes a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry in the harshest conditions.
Breathable Mesh Upper with GORE-TEX Membrane
The Merrell Antora 3 GORE-TEX has been constructed using a breathable mesh and TPU upper; the mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper supplying cool, fresh air whilst simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides in the shoe during heavy exertion. A GORE-TEX membrane provides waterproof protection to keep feet dry and comfortable. It seals out external moisture whilst allowing built-up vapour to escape, keeping feet dry from the inside out. A breathable mesh lining works with Cleansport NXT antimicrobial agents to keep you feeling cooler and fresher for longer; the antimicrobial agents reside in the shoe lining and materials preventing sweat and moisture from affecting the freshness of your shoe by penetrating and disrupting the reproduction of the odour-causing microbes in your shoes. The external rear sling locks in the heel, this, combined with the traditional lace closure system provides a secure fit, reducing in-shoe slippage for quick descents and sharp turns.
EVA Midsole
Providing the perfect combination of stability and comfort, the EVA midsole keeps you protected when on varied and volatile trails. Upon every step, the EVA will provide cushioning placing less pressure on your joints. This will help reduce fatigue and injuries, allowing you to push yourself further. The cushioning will also feel extremely soft providing a high level of comfort. The EVA will transfer energy equally around the midsole, resulting in a stable and sturdy ride. All heavy impacts are absorbed instantly, preventing them from reaching the sole of the feet and causing discomfort or damage. Further enhancing comfort and shock absorption, the Antora 3 GORE-TEX has FloatPro Foam pods to the heel and midfoot, a medium-density foam that provides lightweight protection and high energy return. A rock plate will provide further security and solid protection underfoot.
