Breathable Mesh Upper
Constructed using an abrasion-resistant mesh, the Terrex Skychaser 2 Walking Shoes ensure ample breathability and top abrasion resistance. The mesh allows air to fully permeate throughout the shoe, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air whilst simultaneously pushing out hot, muggy air. Supplying flexible support, the mesh works to increase ventilation and eradicate the build-up of sweat which is unavoidable during exercise. Sweat and moisture are wicked away from the feet leaving you feeling fresh and ready to clock up the miles in extreme comfort. Abrasion-resistant weldings protect your shoes and feet from loose debris so you can run without worry. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which allows for quick and easy adjustments to ensure a locked-down fit at all times.
BOOST Midsole
Developed to provide lightweight cushioning, the midsole of the Terrex Skychaser 2 Walking Shoes have been engineered using adidas' signature BOOST cushioning. adidas take cushioning to new heights, with their ultra-responsive midsole - BOOST. Tiny TPU capsules are moulded together to form a platform that is different to standard, solid foams; absorbing energy and then expelling it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance; keeping you going for longer. The plush, responsive cushioning will spare your joints as you power down onto hard, unforgiving concrete. BOOST also manages to maintain its special function and bounce in conditions as low as -20 degrees, making it a reliable, durable and hard-to-beat midsole. Additionally, an EVA stabilisation frame further ensures stability and midfoot support, so you can tackle rough terrain, whilst feeling energised with every step.
Continental Rubber Outsole
The Continental Rubber compound offers maximum traction on a variety of different surfaces. The highly durable compound allows you to grip the ground beneath in both wet and dry conditions to reduce the chance of you slipping. Delivering optimal traction on varied surfaces, the continental outsole uses the ideal combination of specialised rubbers and design. A strong lug pattern works equally well on both hard and smooth or soft and loose surfaces to ensure optimum, multi-surface grip and completing the outsole is a rock protection plate which helps protect your feet from sharp rocks.
