Engineered Mesh Upper
Constructed using an engineered mesh upper construction, the Solarcontrol Running Shoes provide feet with an enhanced level of comfort. The mesh is lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort and acts as a lightweight second skin to provide a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature starts to rise or your training session heats up. By allowing hot, humid air to escape, the Solarcontrol ensures complete comfort at all times. A heel counter works to lock in the heel for a comfortable and secure fit whilst the lacing system secures the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Made with a series of recycled materials, this upper features at least 50% recycled content. This product represents just one of adidas' solutions to help end plastic waste.
BOOST Midsole
A lightweight BOOST engineered midsole is embedded into the Solarcontrol. The BOOST foam compound provides endless energy return from heel strike through to the toe-off phase of the gait cycle. It features hundreds of visible energy capsules that store and unleash endless energy every time your foot hits the ground, meaning that every step is charged. When your heel hits the floor, the BOOST particles compress and store kinetic energy; as you transition through to mid-stance, they then relax and release their stored energy, which propels you forward with an explosive take-off. This midsole will change your runs forever, thanks to its energy-returning properties. In addition, when the BOOST capsules compress to store energy, they cushion the foot from impacts and only compress so far, meaning that they also provide light support whilst on the road. An LEP works with the BOOST midsole which is designed to add rear foot support and stability, as well as, forward propulsion, whereas, a rubber crash pad positioned on the heel increases your heel stability and provides a smooth transition. Completing the midsole is a dual-density EVA platform that offers further cushioning and shock absorption with each step.
Continental Rubber Outsole
Developed using a Continental Rubber outsole, the Solarcontrol Running Shoes ensure extraordinary traction in wet and dry conditions. Inspired by tyre technology, Continental Rubber supplies traction on wet and dry surfaces, giving you no excuse not to run. The outsole is designed to be just as durable as the BOOST midsole, leaving you with a resilient, cushioned and grippy running shoe.
