Zone 3 Transition Backpack
The Zone 3 Transition Backpack is full of technical features that make it extremely functional and more comfortable than ever. Holding a capacity of 40 Litre, it is a particularly innovative design and much more than just a bag to carry the kit in.
The backpack has been designed with three main compartments to help organise your race kit. Within each compartment, there are itemised zipped pockets to help keep items separate and easy to find. In addition, the bag has been cleverly designed so that each compartment is accessed in a different direction to help maximise space and functionality.
Zone 3 heard that the word going around was that other backpacks on the market were not sturdy enough to stand strong unless the bottom section was being used or if there were no compartments. From this Zone 3 have overcome this problem by tailoring the inner linings between each compartment so they can naturally flow into the compartment below regardless of how full of empty the backpack is. The bottom compartment lining is 100% waterproof and shares the space with the middle compartment. The top compartment lining is a highly flexible and soft mesh material which also can share the space of the middle compartment.
Bottom Compartment
The bottom compartment lining is 100% waterproof working endlessly to ensure the contents of the bag stay dry while a durable exterior material is added for superior durability and abrasion resistance. The seams in the bottom compartment thermo-bonded which ensures extra durability and waterproof protection. This compartment is perfect for Wetsuits, Trisuits and other small items.
Middle Compartment
The middle compartment of the transition bag features a zipped mesh pocket which provides a perfect storage space for goggles and other accessories, while 100% waterproof removable PVC wallets provide safe and convenient storage spaces for small valuable items.
Additionally on the inside of the middle compartment is a back of flap which features a mesh pocket for race numbers and other valuable information. Lastly, on the outside of the compartment features two large, soft mesh pockets that are perfect for storing drinks bottles. The middle compartment is suitable for shoes, clothing, towels, accessories and drinks.
Top Compartment
Inside the top compartment of the transition bag is a back of flap which features a mesh pocket perfect for race nutrition such as energy gels, energy bars etc. On the outside, a top flap pocket offers a perfect storage space for items that need to be accessed regularly such as passports etc. A fleeced music device pocket with an earphone outlet allows you to listen to your favourite music when carrying the pack while lastly, reflective piping around the top enhances your visibility during low-light conditions. The top compartment is suitable for a helmet or other accessories.
Additional Features
The transition backpack offers a padded back panel which uses a 3cm thick foam padding with a breathable mesh material encasing it for comfort and cooling. This mesh allows air to fully permeate, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air when you need it most. Padded shoulder straps increase carry comfort, while chest straps provide a tighter fit and bring the pack closer to your centre of gravity making it easier to carry when full. Plastic D-rings on the shoulder straps increase options as they allow you to attach other accessories to the pack such as a helmet during transport freeing up more room inside the pack.
A durable carry handle provides another means of carrying, while strong zips increase durability. Furthermore, the zips feature silicone zip pullers making the pack easier to access even when wearing gloves. Lastly, the transition backpack features Zone 3 printed and embroidered logos for added style and personality.
