Every area and fabric used on the Zone 3 Lava Long Distance Top has been developed with speed in mind. The main material used in the construction of the top is Aero-Stripe, which is an innovative material from France, the Aero-Stripe is located on the upper back to improve aerodynamics. This UPF-50 textured material creates turbulence across the key boundary layers during high speeds on the bike, reducing drag and improving race times. As well as this, there is Aeroforce Soft-Touch. Lightweight and highly breathable, the material will allow a controlled release of air in and out of it along with the addition of a half-zip for an injection of cool air when needed. This will work over the course of a race to keep you feeling ventilated to a comfortable level. As you begin to sweat, the material reacts to this by removing it from the skin and the fabric, which will help keep your pace up. The material is also able to stretch in a wide range of different directions allowing complete mobility. The sleeveless design provides optimum fit and keeps you comfortable and streamlined throughout any cycle and run. With heat bonding and flat-locked stitching, the top ensures that you will always feel comfortable in all conditions. Completing the top is a nutrition storage pocket located on the back of the top, which offers a place for gels to be stored allowing easy access whilst on the bike or when running.
